Parmareggio was founded in 1983 in Montecavolo di Quattro Castella, in the area Parmigiano Reggiano originated from. It is leader in the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese production and sales, with two production plants in Modena and Montecavolo in Reggio Emilia, where 600.000 wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano are processed at year. Parmareggio is one of the main butter producers in Italy, and it is leader in Italy in the butter market with its Parmareggio Butter, made with the prestigious creams coming from the dairies which produce Parmigiano Reggiano PDO cheese. From January 1, 2021, following the merger with Parmareggio, Agriform Sca, a leading Veneto-based producer and exporter of Grana Padano, Asiago, Piave and other PDO regional hard cheeses, has also become part of the Bonterre Group.Parmareggio Spa is now a leader in the Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano supply chains.Grandi Salumifici Italiani is the market leader in the production of Italian charcuterie products and second in the production of second dishes ready to eat.
